New Roadwork Continues to Crumble
"The Enchanted Hills Neighborhoodd Association encourages the City of Rio Rancho to inspect the recent resurfacing of Enchanted Hills Blvd. ... and report to the EHHA President on the progress and completion of [corrective] measures."
Resolution adopted by EHHA Board on 10/30/09 after receiving photos from an Association member showing dozens of cracks in newly-applied paving funded by voter-approved City road bonds.
One month later, the City has not responded to EHHA's resolution, and cracks in the paving have spread, as shown in the photos to the right and below. EHHA has also brought the problem to the attention of the Albuquerque Rio Rancho Journal and the Rio Rancho Observer, and our website will continue to follow this story.
Residents are encouraged to view the cracking for themselves from the safe distance of either the sidewalk or the median along Enchanted Hills Blvd.
