EHHA's 14th Annual Easter Egg Hunt - Another Success!

The Enchanted Hills Neighborhood Association held its 14th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on 3/31/2012 at Mountain View Park. An estimated 300 people attended the event that featured 3,000 eggs filled with candy, and some also with prizes. 750 eggs were set out in each of four age groups: 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12.

Also participating were an officer from Rio Rancho DPS, and the Fire Dept. with an ambulance and fire truck. Although the truck responded to a call, when it returned, the firemen showed all of the tools and talked about fire safety to the kids remaining (about 10).

The Association sincerely thanks the Sandoval Signpost and VGES for spreading the word, each volunteer, including Paula Nellessen (event organizer), the Nellessen family, the Watson family, Lynne Krempin, volunteers from the Cleveland High School National Honor Society, the Rio Rancho DPS and Fire Dept.

We also sincerely thank this year’s sponsors:

Dr. Wayne Luco

Insight Lighting

Don Chalmers

Chaparrel Materials Inc.

Dion's

Little Caesar's

Coronado Pet Hospital (formerly El Rincon Pet Hospital).

Great volunteers and community minded sponsors made this another fun-filled, successful event enjoyed by all who attended.

Enchanted Hills Neighborhood Association Signage

During the City Council meeting on Oct. 28, 2009, EHHA's President and Vice President presented the City a plaque in appreciation for their efforts to provide residents of Enchanted Hills with four locations of signage to promote the Association and awareness of various community events. The four sign locations are within the medians near the intersections of Enchanted Hills Blvd & Lincoln, Sprint & 550, Santa Fe Hills & 550, and Enchanted Hills Blvd & Chayote Road. Contractors and City crews completed this project during the summer of 2009. For more information on its history, click here.

EHHA thanks Councilor Colley who used her discretionary funds to recently upgrade these four sign locations to meet the City's new sign ordinance requirements. The photos below show aspects of the installment process.
